creative.communities is an informal association of social enterprises working in community and participatory arts and the creative industries sectors. Whilst all the member organisations hold local or regional portfolios of work, some have also extended their reach to include national and international partnerships

The consortium has grown organically over the past 2 years, building on the Lead Agency role provided by SAFE Productions Ltd. In coming together like this, each member organisation has committed to principles of sustainable business activity that positively benefit their communities of interest and that move away from undue reliance on grant aid. It is a positive and mutually-beneficial response to public and private sector procurement, tendering and commissioning arrangements. In supporting local artists the consortium is strengthened by artist associates who are able to deploy an enviable depth and breadth of creative skills and specialist knowledge
